Cass County Supervision After Release
A person can be physically out of the Cass County Jail or a TDCJ unit yet remain subject to supervision. The controlling agency depends on the legal path. The Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles votes on parole and discretionary mandatory supervision. TDCJ Parole Division administers those state release conditions. Cass County Community Supervision and Corrections Department, often called CSCD, administers probation or community supervision ordered by a court.
These systems should never be merged. A TDCJ parole record does not prove probation. A Cass County probation contact does not establish parole. A person may be in one system, neither system, or may have duties arising from more than one case. The judgment, release certificate, and supervising office identify the correct status.
Verify Cass County Supervision
Start with the record that created the supervision. A TDCJ inmate or parole-review record can identify a state parole path. The sentencing court can establish probation and its term. Cass County CSCD has no verified public person-by-person probation search, so a web search cannot supply a reliable probation status. Current information must be requested from the department or court, subject to confidentiality and access rules.
- Identify whether the person left county jail, TDCJ custody, or received a community sentence from a Cass County court.
- For state parole or mandatory supervision, check the TDCJ offender and parole-review record with a TDCJ or SID number when possible.
- Use the Board status line for decision status, then contact TDCJ Parole Division for active supervision questions.
- For probation, locate the Cass County judgment or sentencing order and contact Cass County CSCD.
- Preserve the agency's exact term, such as parole, mandatory supervision, probation, discharged, warrant, or absconder.

Cass County Probation Contact
The Cass County Community Supervision and Corrections Department listing identifies the local contact for court-ordered probation. Its office shares the justice-center address used by several county functions, but that shared location does not merge the records. A probation inquiry belongs with CSCD or the sentencing court, not the sheriff's booking desk or TDCJ prison locator.

No public office hours or public person-search tool were verified for CSCD. Call before visiting and ask what identification or cause number is needed. Confidentiality may limit what staff can disclose to someone who is not the supervised person, counsel, or an authorized party. The sentencing court docket remains important because it establishes that community supervision was ordered.
Cass County Parole Contact
The TDCJ Region I directory assigns Cass County parole and mandatory-supervision cases to the Texarkana District Parole Office. This office is a state supervision contact. It is not Cass County CSCD and does not supervise ordinary court probation. The Board makes release decisions, while TDCJ Parole Division handles supervision after release.

For parole decision status, the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles status line is 844-512-0461. Have the person's name, TDCJ-CID number and date of birth when available. After the Board votes for release, TDCJ directs processing questions to Review and Release Processing at 512-406-5202. Approval should not be reported as actual release until the state processes the event.
Cass Parole and Probation Split
The two systems begin in different ways and answer different questions. A parole record concerns release from a TDCJ sentence before sentence completion. Mandatory supervision is another state supervised-release mechanism. Probation, which Texas law often calls community supervision, comes from a court order and may occur without a state prison release.

A warrant or absconder status is also agency specific. “Absconder” generally means a supervised person is alleged to have stopped reporting or cannot be located. Verify that status with TDCJ Parole Division or the relevant official warrant source for parole. For probation, contact CSCD or the court. A missing roster entry cannot establish either status.
Texas Parole Review for Cass
Texas does not use a conventional public parole-hearing calendar. The Board says it does not hold formal hearings for parole or mandatory-release consideration. Panel members review files and vote individually. TDCJ identifies a case before eligibility, an Institutional Parole Officer prepares a summary, and a three-member panel considers the file. Two matching votes decide the result.
Results may appear in the TDCJ Inmate Search under parole-review information or may be checked through the Board status line. Current outcomes include approval codes, mandatory-supervision approval, denial with a later review, serve-all outcomes within applicable limits, and denial of mandatory supervision. A program-conditioned approval does not mean immediate release. New information can also lead the Board to withdraw approval.

The useful individual markers are review status, result, and next-review date, not a courthouse calendar.
Correct Cass Supervision Records
A record error must go to the agency that created the field. An incorrect sheriff book-out belongs with the Cass County Sheriff. A wrong judgment or probation order belongs with the clerk and sentencing court. A TDCJ identity, date, or parole field belongs with TDCJ or the Board process responsible for it. The fact that county offices share an address does not allow one custodian to rewrite another agency's record.
For a state criminal-history data error, Texas DPS maintains an Error Resolution process and asks for supporting certified documents, often a certified disposition from the reporting court. That process is distinct from changing the underlying court judgment or TDCJ source record. Start with the source and obtain certified proof where required.
When requesting a current supervision fact, give enough identifiers to avoid a same-name match. A cause number helps with probation. A TDCJ or SID number helps with parole. Ask the agency to state its exact field or status rather than translating it into a broader claim.
Note: Discharge from one supervision case does not prove that every other case, warrant, or custody matter has ended.
Cass Supervision Release Records
A jail release record and a supervision record answer different questions. The sheriff's book-out says when Cass County physical custody ended and may name a receiving agency. The judgment explains whether probation was ordered. A TDCJ release certificate and parole record explain the state release path. CSCD records concern compliance with a court's community-supervision order.
Release from supervision is often called discharge or completion, but the term should be taken from the agency or court. Physical release can occur years before supervision ends. Conversely, a person placed directly on probation may never have served a TDCJ prison term. Ask for the beginning date, controlling order, supervising agency, current status as releasable, and discharge or completion record when available.

Holds and Cass County Supervision
A person leaving jail or prison may face another agency's hold. If ICE assumes custody, the event is a transfer, not community release. The same principle applies to another county warrant or federal custody. Community supervision cannot be inferred until the receiving system and release documents are checked.
An alleged parole or probation violation may also produce a warrant, detention, hearing, modification, or revocation process. High-level status should be verified with the proper agency. TDCJ Parole Division handles state parole enforcement. Cass County CSCD and the sentencing court handle county probation matters. Do not use one office's silence as proof that the other system has no active case.
The clearest conclusion names each stage: released from Cass County custody, transferred to TDCJ, released on TDCJ parole, supervised by Cass County CSCD, discharged from supervision, or transferred to another agency. Those phrases prevent a custody event from being mistaken for complete freedom from all legal obligations.
