Cass County Same-Day Release Records
No distinct official Cass County 24-hour release feed was located. The county's Southern Software page is titled “Inmate Confinements.” Its “Last 24 Hours” control sits under admits by date range, so it finds bookings that began in that span. It does not list people whose county custody ended in the span. Current-confinement cards also describe people still shown in custody. Relabeling either view as a Cass County release list would reverse the meaning of the data.
The reliable same-day product is the sheriff's book-out record for a defined interval. That record can establish the time Cass County custody ended, the authority for the book-out, and whether another agency received the person. A release on bond, a time-served release, and a transfer can all remove a name from current confinement, but they do not have the same legal effect.
Check Cass County Releases Today
Start with the event and time range, not with the admission preset. A calendar-day request differs from a rolling 24-hour request. Give the sheriff the exact start and end timestamps, including the date, and ask for both releases and transfers. Cass County Bond Release Is Not Dismissal
A book-out on bond ends the physical jail episode while the criminal case may remain pending. Bond sets terms for pretrial release under Texas criminal procedure. It does not mean the charge was dropped, the case was closed, or the person was discharged from every duty tied to the case.
Pair the sheriff's release authority with the Cass County District Clerk docket and filed orders. The clerk separately identifies District Criminal and County Court at Law Criminal functions. Cass County does not publish a fixed jail release hour or a local weekend-release rule. Call the jail for the status of the specific booking. Do not import the Texas prison schedule into the county jail. TDCJ states that state releases generally occur from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, and advises callers to verify with the unit.
